Heritage Institute of Technology, generally known as HITK or HIT, is a private autonomous engineering college in Anandapur, Kolkata. It was molded by the Kalyan Bharti Trust. The six annexes of the Trust – The Heritage School (THS), Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT-K), The Heritage Academy (THA), Heritage Business School (HBS),Heritage Law College (HLC) & The Heritage College (THC) together originate an oasis of learning and have, over the years, carved a function for themselves among academicians, faculty, student’s and society, in general. HIT admissions are done built on marks scored in WBJEE.

Enthused by the noble cause of education and with a philanthropic zeal, a group of twenty-two like-minded industrialists of Kolkata established Kalyan Bharti Trust (KBT), a public generous foundation, to promote and deliver higher schooling in the country and the State of West Bengal, in particular.

Besides these instructive initiatives, Kalyan Bharti Trust carries out its social responsibilities through SURYAKIRAN & KALYANI. ‘Suryakiran’ is affianced in spreading education to the disadvantaged children of the neighborhood, while ‘Kalyani’, a charitable health-care center provides basic medical facilities to the poor & needy.

1. Postal Facilities: All posting facilities are available at East Kolkata Township P.O. located nearby. Besides, there is apreparation with DTDC so that members of faculty, staff, and students can also avail themselves of courier services.
2. Central Computing Facilities: A Central Computer Centre is wholly available to the students for net browsing and online study. 
3. Sports / Games: There are exceptional facilities for outdoor games and sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, golf, and swimming, bring about by a Sports Officer and a Swimming Instructor.
4. Banking: Punjab National Bank is located within the grounds with an ATM facility for the benefit of students and members of staff. It also encompasses various soft loans.
5. Health: A medical unit is available on the campus besides preparations with sickbays located nearby.
6. Electrical Substation and generator: The confines have an electric substation with two modernizers – 750 kVA and 630 kVA – and two gensets – 375 kVA and 380 kVA. These are maintained as per standardsprearranged by the CESC authorities.
7. Transportation: Two-way transportation is available from distended locations in Kolkata at scheduled hours based on students’ demands. Passage facilities for members of faculty and staff, as also for visitors, are accessible from the Traffic Island near Ruby General Hospital.
8. Cafeteria: The Institute has an excellent cafeteria with anorchestra capacity of more than 200 people it has a well-planned sterile kitchen run by a reputed caterer at managed prices. Heritage Institute of Technology Admission

Heritage Institute of Technology is known for its leading program of B-Tech which is offered in 9 specializations. For the B-Tech entrance fee at Heritage Institute of Technology, applicants are required to appear for the JEE Main or WBJEE entrance examination and contribute to the counseling for final seat allotments. Heritage Institute of Technology custodies a fee of INR 1.16 Lakhs per year for its B-Tech program.

Heritage Institute of Technology Entry payment B-Tech Admission 2022

Heritage Institute of Technology B.Tech: The Program is a full-time production course with a period of 4 years. 

For admission into the B-Tech program, the entrants must clear either WBJEE or JEE (Main) by CBSE. If qualified, the claimant should apply for their anticipated branch in the college by filling in the application form obtainable on the college’s official website. The candidate must not disremember to pay the necessary application fee.

Selection to the program will be based on merit. If the entrant qualifies for any of the entrance exams, then they will be selectedfor a seat in the college during counseling sessions. 

Key Points

• 80% of seats will be allocated to WBJEE competent candidates, 10% seats will be reserved for JEE(Main) skilled candidates, and 10% seats are reserved under Management Quota for candidates having effective rank cards of WBJEE / JEE(Main).
• An additional intake of 20% of the acknowledged intake in the 2nd year (Lateral Entry) from Diploma holders and B-Sc degree ampules will be filled through JELET conducted by WBJEE Board.

The candidate must report to the establishment for the admission process. Candidates selected for admission must pay the tuition fee as well as any other fees arranged by MAKAUT or the State Govt. Payment must be wide-ranging in the form of a DD/Banker’s Cheque/Pay Order, drawn in favor of ‘Heritage Institute of Technology’, payable at Kolkata within the specified date.
